Thunderstorms in February

We've had an odd winter so far.  There were a couple of heavy snowstorms and after that it has been pretty mild.  It's been in the high 50's or low 60's for the past week.
And today we actually had some thunderstorms.  I think there might have been some hale as well.
I was hoping to get some shots of the hale but instead I got some shots of the rain.
One more shot.  As you can see it was getting dark.  The rain didn't last too long.

One of Those Days

Today as I got to the office in Troy, it was snowing briefly.  Unfortunately, there wasn't anyplace I could take a picture where the snow would show well.  But still, it is close to the end of April...there shouldn't be anymore snow.
As I was leaving, I wanted to show the flag almost straight out with gray skies.  I guess it's October again...but only briefly I hear.

A Windy Day in Ann Arbor

I'm not sure what the wind speeds where in my neck of the woods but apparently winds were getting around 50 knots on Lake Erie.  It would have been a nice day to go to Marblehead or something to catch some wave action and perhaps a ship or two at anchor.  But alas, I had to work.
Earlier in the morning, I wanted to get some weather shots but the sky wasn't quite dramatic enough.
I had a little sheen of water on my favorite subject around the office.
I didn't have my normal drips of water but they still look pretty cool.
I did like the look of the leaves on the ground, especially with the layer of water on them.
After lunch, the wind really started to pick up.  Fortunately we have some willow trees so I could show the effect.
And a little more drama in the sky.

I think it is supposed to be cold for the rest of the week though.

Just a Little Rain....

Yesterday we had a tornado warning in this area, so that meant we had to seek shelter.  Today we have a thunderstorm warning.
The rain was coming down pretty hard, so I decided to get a picture of it hitting the pavement.  I thought it looked pretty cool.
