Mackinac Bridge at Night

Leg's Inn
Located in Cross Village is Leg's Inn. It was established in 1921 by a Polish Immigrant named Stanley Smolak. He loved Northern Michigan and decided to set up an Inn there.
The Inn is built of stone and is decorated with driftwood sculptures that he built himself. It features Polish cuisine but has American food too. It is pretty good stuff. It is still owned by the same family.

At the end of M-119 is Cross Village. Once a thriving lumber town. Now, just a couple buildings one of which is Leg's Inn, more on that later.
Cross Village was established when Father Marquette placed a cross there. It is one of the oldest settlements in Michigan. It wasn't until 1875 that it became known as Cross Village.
This is one of the buildings. Cross Village also used to have alot of fishing.

A Barn
Just down Williams Road from the church is this barn. Nothing special.
I'm not sure if you can tell from the small picture, but it was starting to snow as I took this picture. Blah.
You can probably see the snow a little better in this one.

Yes, it was snowing in early October, but that's Michigan sometimes. It didn't last long and fortunately it didn't stick but it's there.

Saint John Nepomucene Church
This church is located in Jordan Township at the corner of M-32 and Williams Road. It was founded by Bohemian immigrants and named after the patron Saint of Czechoslovakia. It was built as a wooden structure originally and in 1926 was clad with field stone. It's not a bad looking church.
Little Caesar's
As we were wandering around up north, I stumbled across one of these. The Little Caesar statue in front of the store is getting rarer and rarer and it's even rarer to see one in good shape like this one. So I had to take a picture of it.
Little Caesars was founded in Garden City, MI by Mike Ilitch in 1959. Over the years it has expanded to be the 4th largest pizza chains in the country. He also owns the Tigers and Red Wings and is a fairly large charitable contributor to the city of Detroit. The pizza is not the best but it's not the worst either.
