Barton Dam

It was a cold day but the sun was shining, so I decided to go out taking pictures. I ended up going to the Barton Dam which is a little further west of Ann Arbor on Huron River Drive. It is used to generate electricity. I was hoping that there would be some frozen water on the dam.

I like this shot. A piece of wood in a frozen river.

A shot of the dam.

Looking down at the part of the dam that had running water. I love the patterns it made in the ice.

An overall shot of the dam.

Looking down at the frozen water.

Looking down at the running water.

The generator building.

A duck. I have to believe the duck was pretty cold.

Looking at rocks under water.

Running water under a sheet of ice.
