And the Etceteraborg

When I see ships coming from one direction, I don't pay attention to ships coming from the other direction.  As a result, I may get surprised.

I'm honestly surprised there isn't an Etceteraborg.  It seems like they use just about every other name.
Anyway, this is the Elbeborg.  She belongs to Wagenborg out of Holland.  I think she actually flies a Dutch flag.
She was coming up from Ashtabula and heading over to Green Bay.
I think she picked up some cargo in Green Bay and is currently sitting in Windsor waiting to pick up grain.  Once she does that, I think she heads back to Europe.
So I switched over  to my drone.
I think I am getting the hang of it.
I will have to say, these ships look pretty cool from the air.
The beam shot.
She passes by.
One more shot.

The Elbeborg Unloading In Windsor

This is another ship that was unloading in Windsor.

The Elbeborg was unloading while I was down there.  If I went to look at the Belle Isle Anchorage tonight, I would have saw her there.  I'm not sure where she is headed next.

Next Up...the Elbeborg

I thought I would be introducing a new ship to the blog but it turns out that I caught her in Duluth last year.  However, it seems that I didn't properly introduce her then.
The Elbeborg is one of several ships owned by Wagenborg out of the Netherlands.
The Elbeborg was built in 2011 and resembles many of the other Wagenborg ships.
She is 474 feet long and 52 feet wide which means she is well below the maximums for the Welland Canal.  She can carry 12,000 tons of cargo.
I'm not sure where she is off to though.

The Elbeborg Leaves Duluth

This is a mixture of pictures from the canal and the cruise.  The canal parts were caught because I decided to catch the James R. Barker as she entered the harbor.
The Elbeborg is one of several salties that visits the Great Lakes.  I think she was getting ready to make the journey to wherever she was going in this picture.
 A shot of her pilothouse.
As we passed her on the tour boat.
Here she is making the turn towards the channel.
 A headshot.
She starts to enter the channel.
And she passes under the Aerial Bridge.
 A shot of her pilothouse.
And she leaves the channel.
