The Federal Seto Unloading at Nicholson Dock

 Again as I was waiting for the ship and I saw this ship unloading.

This is the Federal Seto.  She is one of several salties that visit the Great Lakes.

I think this is one of the ones that will hang and deliver cargo on the Lakes before going back overseas.  Her destination as listed as Les Escoumins which is in the mouth of the St. Lawrence River.  I think that means she is going to be heading back overseas.

The Federal Seto Comes Into Cleveland

 So this is the ship that I was waiting for.

It was the Federal Seto but I'm not sure where she was coming from.

MarineTraffic listed her origin as Port Colborne, but that is the port on the Lake Erie side of the Welland Canal.  I'm pretty sure she came from somewhere else.

She was soon joined by the Pennsylvania.  And in the background was the bonus ship that I caught.

She gets nudged towards the Cleveland Port Terminals.

Cleveland has a number of slips for salties.  I think one of those slips can handle containers.

She moves over towards the east.

You can see the tug pushing her into position.  I was kind of surprised to see the tug as I thought she had bow thrusters.

Catching the Federal Seto

Last Sunday night, I headed over to Belle Isle.  I saw that I had a chance to catch a pair of ships.  It was nasty for part of the day but it was starting to clear up by evening.

 First up was the Federal Seto.

 She is one of a number of ships that is owned by Federal Navigation.  She is also one of a number salties that sail on the Great Lakes.

 She was heading up to Duluth.  I think while she was there, she would pick up a load of grain.

This is a submersible liferaft.  It can be completely surround by water and still float.  Typically these are found on salt water vessels.  If needed, they slide down the rails.
