A Banner Plane

The Lions were playing later and therefore there was some banner planes flying around.

I'm not sure what kind of plane this is though.
But I liked the picture with the Ren Cen in it.

A Fog Shrouded Detroit

I liked the look of the skyline, so I had to get a picture of it.  I'm not sure about the quality of the pictures though.
The Renaissance Center with the fog obscuring the top a little bit.
A pulled back shot to get the rest of the skyline.  The buildings are little obscured though.  But I think that's okay.

Fog Shrouded Detroit

Another overcast day but it was still fairly warm, so I can't complain too much.

The rain was threatening but it had the courtesy to wait until I was heading home to start.
And a shot of the skyline before heading home.

The Detroit Skyline

I kind of liked the look.

The clouds were hovering over the building.  I kind of liked how they obscured the top a little bit.
Pulled back for more of the skyline.

The Detroit Skyline

Just some shots before moving along.

A shot of the Detroit skyline from where I was standing.  The light for this was perfect.
A shot of the Ambassador Bridge as I was returning the drone.  I love the shot of the city in the back.
Detroit may not have a tall skyline but it has a cool skyline.
One more before moving on.

The Renaissance Center at Sunset

The Renaissance Center looks pretty cool lit up too.

They added some LEDs so that they can change the colors.  The GM logo is visible at the top.

The Detroit Skyline from Riverside Park

Just a couple of pictures of Detroit from Riverside.

You get a pretty good shot of the Renaissance Center.
And an okay shot of the rest of the Detroit Skyline.

And Then There Was the Frontenac

And this was the ship I wanted to catch.

I'm not sure where the Frontenac was coming from.
But she was heading to Nanticoke.
Which I think means she was carrying iron.
She almost gives me the headshot.
I like it when I can get the Renaissance Center in a picture.
Belle Isle in the background.
The bow shot.
She starts to turn towards the rest of the channel.
I think I like this view.
the lighting was just about perfect for me.
The weather was perfect.
A clean background.
One more shot with my camera.
And then I switched to my drone.
I couldn't back up far enough to get the whole bridge in the picture.
But I think that's okay.
She's about to pass.
The almost beam shot.
The beam shot.
And she continues on.

Some Shots of Detroit

I figured while I was down here, I would get some other shots.

After my pictures of the Leitch, I decided to fly my drone near the Scott Fountain.  I wanted to get some drone shots of it.
I kind of like this shot.  As you can see, there weren't that many people there.
This was my first attempt of getting the Lake St. Clair with my drone.  Instead I got a pretty good shot of the skyline.
I decided to turn my drone around to get a different shot of Belle Isle.
After attempting to get pictures of the Lake St. Clair, I decided to get some shots of the island.  I kind of like it.  I never realized how big it was.
Another shot.
I moved my drone to get more of a head on shot.
And then I decided to get some shots of downtown with my regular camera.  I caught a plane flying over Detroit.  With some research, I determined that it was a Spirit A320Neo flying in from Fort Myers.
Another shot of downtown, you can see the tall ship passing.
I kind of like this one.
Another shot of the Scott Fountain.  This time from the ground.  I liked the reflection in the pond.

A Couple of Shots of Detroit

These are a couple of shots of Detroit that I took.

This one is from Jefferson Avenue as I was heading down to Del Ray.  The Car was stopped at the time, so I was not driving while holding my camera.
This was a shot with my drone from the little place I stopped at.  I'm not sure what the prominent white building is but someone pointed out it looks like a toilet paper roll.  Now I can't unsee that.

The Detroit Skyline

I kind of liked the way the buildings were reflecting in the water.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get a decent picture the other way.

The Renaissance Center and Former Comerica Tower.

A Couple More of the View from Riverside Park

In between ships, I took a couple more pictures of the view from Riverside Park.

The buildings that are not the Renaissance Center.  These are the buildings that give Detroit a pretty neat skyline.
The Renaissance Center.  Even this one helps the Detroit skyline.
Looking down the pier.  I'll have to say this is pretty nice.
