Zappa - Sutures Removed and Much Better
I don't show enough pictures of my cat on this blog this to be one of those, "Oh look at puddy puddy", so I'm not worried that this is going to become one of those blogs.
But anyways, as I mentioned a few weeks ago. I got back from a trip to California and I noticed that my cat's ear was puffed out. So I took him to the emergency vet, he removed the fluid buildup in his ear. A couple of days later, a good friend of mine took him to the cat clinic where she works...Country Cat Clinic. They drained fluid out of his ear and told me that I needed to bring him back. So I did and they put a hard plastic thing behind his ear and bandaged it up. A couple weeks later, the bandages came off and he seemed to be on the road to recovery. So today, the hard plastic thing on his ear was removed. So he's much much happier.
He couldn't really lay this way because of the thing on his ear, I'm not sure if you can see but it still looks a little raw but that's to be expected.
The ear on the right is the one that had the problem. I hope that it springs back like the other ear but I get the impression that it wont. Oh well, at least I wont have to name him "Old One Ear".
As I said, the ear on the right still looks a little raw but the vet said that it will get better.
Again, a million thank yous to Country Cat Clinic. They are awesome and they got Zappa back to his normal self. The vet there is awesome. If you live in the Ann Arbor area, give them a try.

Kinda Bored...
I haven't posted in a couple days, so I decided to take a couple pictures of my stuffed wolverine. I got him from the World Wildlife Federation by adopting a wolverine. Of course I was mostly interested in getting the wolverine but if some of that money goes towards saving wolverines, that's a good thing.
This is a shot from the side. It's not a bad representation of a wolverine but it doesn't look fierce enough. Nor does it really have the claws to represent a wolverine.

Messing Around....
So I got a picture of Detroit that I liked. Last week, I took a picture of my Godzilla figure....soooo....

Some Shots After the Game
These are some shots I took as we were heading back to the car. This was my second game at Ford Field and I think I like Ford Field alot better than the Silverdome. For one thing, it is alot easier to get out of Detroit than it was to get out of Pontiac. Second, there is alot more to see around the stadium.

The Detroit Lions Vs. the Minnesota Vikings
So I went to the Lions game today. This would have been the second time I've been to a Lions game at Ford field, but the last time I attempted to go, they had a problem with the lens on my camera (it was too long) and because of other circumstances, I couldn't get into the game. So I decided I wasn't going to go to a Lions game again (as that was during the 0-16 season, that was a pretty easy decision on my part). This year, the Lions were actually showing signs of promise and it looks like they eased their restrictions on lens at Ford field. So I decided to go.
They were playing the Minnesota Vikings, so I might have been able to see Brett Favre in his last game but that was not to bed.
This is Jahvid Best making a run. He is one of their rookie players this year but he didn't quite make the impact they were hoping for.
Here he is making a cut to get by a couple of Viking defenders.
This is Scheffler making a catch. He would make it all the way to the goal-line only to fumble the ball there.
In the back is Adrian Peterson starting to make a run. He didn't do so well in this game.

This is Maurice Morris as he is about to run it in for a touchdown.
The Vikings' Quarterback as he is about to get sacked by Suh. Suh is another rookie that the Lions picked up...and he is a beast. I am hoping that he is the player they can build a defense around. He is that good.
This was part of the last play at the game where the Vikings lateralled about 5 times or so. Unfortunately for them, one of them was a forward pass, so even if they had scored, it would been all for naught.
And a shot of the scoreboard...the Lions actually won the game. This would be their fourth win in a row. Even though I have been here before, I think this bodes well for next season.

Of all the landmarks in Michigan that I've wanted a picture of, this one is probably the most difficult for me to get. Usually when I am going past it, I am the one that is doing the driving and I'm not quite sure where to pull off to get it. Today, my dad and I were heading down to the Lions game, so I had my chance.
The tire started out life as a ferris wheel for the 1964/65 World's Fair in New York. After the fair ended, it was moved to Michigan where it stands now. In the mid 90's it was given a facelift to make it look more modern. In 1998, it was given a nail for Uniroyal's NailGard tires. In 2003, it was given another renovation in preparation for the Super Bowl that was going to be in Detroit. It is definately an icon.
