I saw that there would be a couple more ships at the Locks as I woke up, so one more trip there before heading home.
First up was the Honorable James L. Oberstar. She has appeared on this blog in the past, so I'm not going to go into her details in this post.
At one time, she was named the Beeghley. Now she is named after a Congressman.
A shot of her stack.
She starts to leave the Locks and is flanked by the next visitor, the James R. Barker.
Hard to starboard to clear the Barker.
Kind of a shot of the Barker.
One more trip to Mission Point to catch her on the River.
I really love the views from here.
A shot of her pilothouse.
Another shot of her pilothouse as she passes by.
She heads downriver.
To the right you can see a couple boatnerds taking her picture.
And one more stop to 4 Mile Beach to get some shots.
A shot of her pilothouse.
A straight on shot of her.
And her deckhouse.
One last shot before heading out.
