I was waffling on whether I was going to go catch a ship today or not because the weather looked a bit on the iffy side. Well, I decided that I wanted to get my first ship of the year, so I headed down to Belle Isle to catch it.
So my first ship of the year was the classic laker, the Cuyahoga.
She departed earlier this morning from Goderich with a load of salt. She is headed somewhere on the Rouge River to deliver that salt to Detroit.
An almost beam sot of her.
She continues past the end of Belle Isle.
an almost stern shot of her but I can't get the stern shots here that I get in Port Huron.
and she starts to pass the Belle Isle Coast Guard Station.
