The International Bridge at 50

As I said in my last post, they were commerating the 50th Anniversary of the International Bridge.  This bridge connects the United States and Canada at the two Sault Ste. Maries.  It is the norhtern terminus of I-75.  It is also a major point of commerce between the two countries.
Construction of the Bridge began in 1960 and was finished in 1962.  The Bridge is 2.8 miles long and since 1987, there has been a Bridge Walk on this weekend.

In honor of the event, the Bridge was lit up with special lights.  The Canadian side in red and white.
And the American Side was in Red, White and Blue.
