The Turkey Roost

Occasionally I like to give a mention to the restaurants that are off the beaten path or serve something pretty unique.
I'm not sure if I would consider the Turkey Roost as off the beaten path though.  It is right on M-13 as you head north from Bay City.  It is usually a pretty busy restaurant.  They do however serve something pretty unique.
As the name indicates, the main dish they serve is turkey and they have served it for a while (since the 1950's?).  They serve a couple other dishes but turkey is their speciality.  The turkey plate has stuffing, mashed potatoes, cole slow, cranberries and a vegetable.  If that doesn't fill you up, they have a strawberry shortcake that is pretty good.  The food is pretty inexpensive, so if you're in the area give them a shout.
