Summer means that the Diamond Jack cruises will be wandering around the Detroit River.
One of the cruises leaves from the dock at Milliken State Park. Another one leaves from Wyandotte. I think I would like to take the cruise that leaves from Wyandotte because that goes by the Boblo Boats. There might also be a better chance of seeing freighters from that cruise.

Two cruises leave from Wyandotte. One goes north, the other goes south.
Yes, I took a Diamond Jack cruise from Wyandotte last year and it happened to be on a day with no boats but it's the best shot at seeing anything from the water
