The Walter J. McCarthy Jr Passes Mission Point

Probably my favorite place to take pictures of ships is at Mission Point in Sault Ste Marie.  For the most part the ships get fairly close and there are good backing views.
I believe that the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. was on her way to St. Clair, MI.  That would mean that she would have a load of coal.
She is one of 13 thousand footers that travel the Great Lakes.  Over Engineer's weekend I got to see most of them.
I think she used to have some blue on her pilothouse but it seems like they've painted that over.
And this view probably sums up why I like Mission Point so much.
