On Sunday, I was wandering down Huron River Drive for a bit. I didn't take a picture of the Barton Dam because there wasn't much color behind it.
I did however take a picture of one of the truss bridges. I like truss bridges and the fact that these are getting more rare is all the reason to take a picture of it.
Looking down the Huron River.
This particular bridge was built in the 1870's by the Wrought Iron Bridge Company of Ohio.
These particular bridges could be transported by trains and they had the instructions for their construction. At one time, they were more prevalant than they are now (like many things).
One more view down the Huron River.
