I saw that there were a couple ships stirring on the St Clair River yesterday, so I decided to head up there to get pictures of them. I was actually pleasantly surprised because I thought that I was done boatwatching for a while.
The first vessel I saw was the Canadian Cutter/Icebreaker the Samuel Risley. I was kind of surprised to see that there was little ice in the river near St Clair.
She passed by with a purpose as she was escorting the ship in the following post.
I'll have to admit that I like her looks better than some of the US Coast Guard ships.
