A Snapping Turtle on the Road

As I was heading back to work from the airport, I decided to take a way that would let me see if there was a train.  There wasn't a train but I got another surprise.

 This snapping turtle was trying to cross the road.  I kind of liked his looks, so I stopped to get a picture of him.

I wasn't about to get any closer though.  This one is a size that could do some damage.
