The Manistique East Breakwater Light

As you can see, the fog was also on part of Lake Michigan.  It made for getting a picture of this lighthouse difficult but I still like the effect.
At the opening of the 20th Century, Manistique was a booming port.  It would supply pig iron and timber to the developing nation.  As a result, a lighthouse and breakwater was added.  This light was completed in 1916 and automated in 1969.  The tower was originally equipped with a fourth order Fresnel lens.  It now has an acrylic light.  In 2013, it was sold to a private individual.
