Eastern Michigan at Toledo - Football

So Eastern Michigan ended up traveling to Toledo for the noontime kickoff.  Since the game was fairly close, I decided to head down to the game as well.  I was planning to do that anyway unless this ended up being one of the weeknight evening games that are happening for the MAC later in the season.

As always, these are mostly shots of events around the game.  If you want to see game shots go to Hustle Belt.
The Bell Tower stands at 206 feet tall and was built in 1931.  It rings every hour and at certain times it will play music.  Apparently there are four gargoyles at the top.
Another angle of the Bell Tower.  It is a gothic building.
I'm not sure what building this was.
Another angle of the tower.  I think you can see the gargoyles fairly clearly in this picture.
This is a Nike-Ajax missile painted in the Rockets colors.  Allegedly it is aimed at the 50 yard line of the Bowling Green stadium.  The Nike missile itself was first proposed in 1945 by Bell Laboratories.  It first became operational in 1953.
A member of the Toledo band.
I kind of liked this picture of the Toledo flag girls.
A better shot of the Toledo band.
 One of the tuba players.
I kind of like the reflections in the tuba.
 Another shot of the band.
Quite a few Eastern Michigan faithful made the trek.
I was trying to frame the flag girls with the cheerleaders.
Coach Creighton chatting with one of the refs.
One of the Toledo running backs finding a seam in the defense.
The Toledo Blue Crew.  I think this group is pretty cool.
Rocksy, one of the Rocket mascots.
A pink ribbon on the Eastern Michigan helmet.

Eastern Michigan ended up losing 20-15.  They made a pretty good game of it but not good enough.
