A B-52 Stratofortress

This is another kit that I didn't need to find the decals for.  I saw it at the model shop and I saw where the planes were from and I decided that I needed to pick it up.

This is a B-52 Stratofortress that served out of Wurtsmith Air Force base in Oscoda.  It is a B-52H which means it would have been delivered in the early 1960s.  The paint scheme is representative of a B-52 from that time frame.
Wurtsmith opened in 1923 and closed in 1993.  It currently serves as a cargo hub for northern Michigan as well as Kalitta's maintenance facility.
