And the Alpena

The next ship was definitely something I wanted to catch.
 I don't care how many times I catch the Alpena, it's never enough.  She is one of the better looking boats on the Lakes.  Even the cormorant here is admiring her beauty.
 I think she was heading up from her namesake city to Duluth.  I presume she had a load of cement.
 She is one of the best kept up ships.  It also looks like she has a fresh coat of paint.  I think some of that might be because she doesn't go through the Locks much.
 She heads up the river.
 And she gives a salute to all the assembled boatnerds at Mission Point.

 She's actually small enough that I could get a beam shot.
And she continues up to the Locks.
