I thought I caught this one before but it turns out that I haven't.
She is the Algoma Innovator and she is one of the newest Equinox class ships.
I think she was the first to be built in Croatia instead of China. The Chinese yard that Algoma was using went bankrupt so they had to find an alternative.
She left Croatia in February and 2018 and started deliveries on the Lakes in March.
She is 650 feet long and had a 78 foot beam. She is capable of carrying 25,000 tons of cargo.
With her boom placement she can go to docks that were not being serviced by the other Algoma ships. And that boom placement gives her a unique appearance.
She has definitely seen some hard work judging by her paint.
But she's a pretty neat looking boat.
It sounds like Interlake Steamship is going to be building a similar ship but this one will be built in the United States.
At any rate, with that boom, she almost looks like a proper lake ship.
I think she was on her way to Oshawa, Ontario.
Not sure where that is though.
One more shot.
