A Memorial in Port Huron

As I was wandering around the park, I noticed this memorial and I thought it was pretty cool. Maybe not as cool as the memorial in Detroit but still pretty cool.

The memorial was built in 1893 as a bequest by a local lumberman and politician. It stands about 60 feet tall.

This one is unique in that it also portrays a sailor.

A view of the sailor.

A view of the soldier.

The soldier at the top of the memorial.

Another view of the soldier.

Another view of the sailor.

Another angle of the soldier at the top.

It is a pretty neat looking statue.
