An Airplane Flies Overhead

Occasionally, I will catch airplanes flying over Belle Isle.

I believe this is a Cirrus SR-22 that was flying out of Coleman A. Young Airport in Detroit.  The airport used to be known as Detroit City Airport until 2003.  It was then named after the former mayor of Detroit.  Coleman A. Young was also a Tuskegee Airman during World War II and served as a bombardier for the 477th Medium Bomber group.  He died in 1997 at the age of 79.
