The Michipicoten Heads On Down

This is the ship that I was hoping to catch.  For a long time, she would rarely make a visit to the Detroit area but it seems like she has been down this way more frequently in the past year.  That may have something to do with the ships that Lower Lakes has retired in the past couple of years.

At one time the Michipicoten was the Elton Hoyt for Interlake Steamship.  It was in this version that she found herself on Grosse Point Blank.
Anyway, I don't remember where she was coming from but she was heading to the stone docks by Zug Island.
Those are on the part of the river that surrounds Zug Island.
One of these days, I would like to get a picture of a ship there but it is not an easy spot to get a picture of (even with a drone).
I'll have to say, she is one of the nicer looking classic lakers.
Other than the wharf scrapings, she looks pretty nice.
A beam shot.
She continues down the river.
One more shot.
