The Elusive Cardinal

One morning as I was heading into work, I looked up and I saw a cardinal sitting on one of the wires.  The light was shining on it perfectly.  I wish I would have taken my camera with me, but I didn't and a photo opportunity flew away.
As I was taking my mom to get some tests done, I saw the cardinal again.  She said that there are some cultures that look at cardinals as deceased relatives that are watching over you.  I kind of liked that thought as she went to get those tests.
He flew a little closer to me, which was good as I was cropping pretty heavily as it was.  I kind of like the other bird in the shot.
One more shot of the pair.
