A Pair of Ducks

 There is generally quite a bit of downtime with watching ships.  Fortunately, there is usually some wildlife in the area that I can get pictures of.

This is one of a pair of ducks that was floating by.

It is the female mallard.

I think these are pretty nice looking ducks.

I never really noticed the hint of color but it is there.

This was her mate, he was staying behind her a bit.  I really like the looks of male mallards.

They are very dignified looking birds.

And then he decided that flying would be better than swimming.  So I got a pretty good flight shot.
