And the Brubaker Bridge

It took us a little bit to find the next bridge.

The Brubaker Bridge is in Preble County and is to the southwest of Dayton.  It is kind of close to Miami University of Oxford.  If I had known that when I visited there a few years ago, I would have gone to seek it out.
The bridge is 85 feet long and spans the Sandy Run.
It was built in 1887 by Everett Sherman.  It is known as a Childs Truss after a design patented by Horace Childs.
The design never became popular and Sherman started to use the design after the patent expired.

It is on the register of national historic places.
