I decided to stay at the Maritime Center for the next ship. It seems like she is one that I always see at the Maritime Center but I'm not going to complain.
The ship in question is the Herbert C. Jackson. She is another classic lake freighter and I believe she was built at Great Lakes Engineering Works in River Rouge, MI. She was the heaviest vessel side launched there.
One of the other nice things about watching ships at the Maritime Center is that they talk about them as they pass.
One of my favorite views from there.
A look at her deckhouse.
Another full on view.
And one more shot before she moves on to Lake Huron and beyond.
