I know I posted this picture on Saturday but that was on the road and I wanted to tell a little more of the history of US-10.
Originally, US-10 was proposed to travel from Detroit to Chicago but that would become US-12. Then it went from Detroit up to Saginaw, MI and cut to the west until Ludington, MI. After Ludington, you would cross on a ferry to Manitiwoc and continue on to Seattle.
Now it pretty much goes from Bay City, MI to just inside of Montana having largely been replaced with Interstates. The portion that went through Detroit is now M-10 or the Lodge Freeway.
