So I decided to go to the hockey game. It was the second game (and hopefully would be the last game) of the CCHA quarterfinals. It think it was pretty close to being sold out because it took me a couple of tries getting a ticket on the Michigan website. I finally got one and was happy.
Luke Glendening during the warmup skates. I think he was practicing passing or something.
The Zamboni preparing the ice for the game.
The players stand for the National Anthem.
Even the refs are somewhat patriotic.
I tried to get a shot of both teams but couldn't quite get them all in the frame.
The Michigan players huddle before the game.
Ben Winnett about to slam one of the Bowling Green players into the boards.
Just a pulled out shot of the action. I kind of like it.
Greg Patteryn putting on the brakes.
Ben Winnett just after making a pass.
A scrum in front of the net.
Jeff Rohrkemper after making a pass.
I realize that this shot is a little blurry but I wanted to keep it because it was Michigan's first goal. It came shorthanded. You can even see the puck as it is going in the net.
Greg Pateryn getting slammed against the boards.
A.J. Treais waiting for the puck.
Chad Langlais fighting off a check...or is that Czech?
Brandon Burlon shotting the puck at the net.
A shot of the scoreboard after the first period.
Luke Moffat carrying the puck into the defensive zone.
Hunwick making one of not quite so many saves as the Bowling Green goalie.
Jon Merrill shooting the puck in.
A scrum in front of the net.
Mac Bennett passing the puck.
One of the Michigan players getting slammed into the boards.
The Bowling Green goalie right after giving up another goal. I think this was Michigan's second goal but I don't remember.
The student section dancing along to one of the Blues Brothers' songs. It was pretty cool because they kept singing after the band stopped. Then about halfway into the third period they started up again.
The ref checking the net. Before every period, the student section will yell out, "Check the Net!".
One of the Bowling Green players sitting in the penalty box. I think he feels ashamed.
Michigan celebrating another one of their goals. This one came on the power play.
After every goal, fans will hold up the number of fingers corresponding with the number of goals so far.
The Bowling Green goalie making another save. He made quite a few, but not enough.
Greg Pateryn and a Bowling Green player go after the puck.
Jon Merrill putting the puck towards the net. This is another shot I like because it gives the wider view of the play.
I'm not sure which Michigan player this is.
Mac Bennett right after shooting it into the zone.
A little over halfway through the third period, Hunwick was pulled and Hogan was put in. I think this was more or less to give Hunwick a break because he had played very well up to that point.
Again, I'm not sure which Michigan player this is.
Luke Glendening waiting for the play to develop.
The Michigan players celebrating their victory.
A pulled out shot of the Michigan players.
The post game handshake.
Even the refs get a little love.
After the handshake, the players skated over to the student section. One of the Michigan goalies handed a stick to one of the students. I thought it was pretty cool.
The scoreboard showing the final score. Michigan won 4-1. At some point between now and next season, this board is coming down and will be replaced by a more state of the art version.

Question: On the radio feed, after the announcer said there was one minute left, it sounded like the student section yelled "THANK YOU" in unison, to which the announcer replied "You're welcome." Can you confirm or disprove this?
Yes that happened and the crowd cheered.
