A Turkey in the Arb

As I said in my 12 months post, I was going to take a picture looking up at the pine trees but I got a little distracted. As I was heading up the trail that leads through them, I noticed this turkey eating.

So I decided to sneak up on it. I think it might be a female turkey, but I'm not sure.

I was amazed at how close it let me get. I didn't even have the long lens on my camera.

I kind of like this shot, although it was starting to move away from me and I was on a slowish exposure time.
