Turns out that it is a Diamond DA20 Katana. Diamond was formed in 1981 in Austria as Hoffmann Flugzeugbau with the purpose of becoming a major general aviation company. During the 80s, it went through several name changes before
The Diamond DA20 was based on an earlier aircraft. It first flew in 1991 and was introduced in 1992. Production started in 1994 and continues until now. In 1994, production was transferred to Canada to support the North American market. It is powered by a Continental engine which produces 125 horsepower. It has a cruise speed of 159 miles per hour.
