Under the Waxing Gibbous

I actually love the names of the moon phases.  I'm not sure where they come from but it is pretty cool.

I took this picture last night as I was getting home from the planes.  It wasn't quite dark enough yet but with the right exposure on the camera, you can make any scene night.   I think it was a waxing gibbous last night.  The gibbous moon is when it over 50 percent light.  Waxing means the full moon is coming up.  Waning means the full moon has passed.  I kind of like this moon because you can see more details than you can with the full moon.
