Wow....200,000 Viewers

I'm not sure why but there is a discrepancy between the Blogger Counter and the one I've been using from Statcounter.  At any rate, the Blogger one says that I've now had 200,000 viewers on this blog and the Statcounter is not too far behind that one so I guess I can celebrate the milestone.
I was going to use one of the pictures I posted from Gettysburg for this but I'll use one of the ones I didn't post.  I kind of like the idea of a person looking off into the distance because that is what I'm going to do.

When I started this blog over 3 years ago, I thought I would fizzle out like I did with my first blog but I guess using original content instead of just opinion is much easier in many respects.  When I hit 100,000 in August, I thought it would take another year and a half to hit 200,000 but I guess I'm doing something right since I hit it in half of that time.

Part of the celebration is a thank you.  I want to thank all of the people that have come to this blog on a regular basis.  I also want to thank the people that have given me some advice on how to improve my photography.  I want to think that I've grown in that respect.  At any rate, it's been hard work to do this but it's also been a pleasure.

The other part of this is looking off into the future.  In the near future, I'm going to hit the rails and head to the East Coast.  In the not so near future, I want to head up to Duluth.  Probably next year, I would like to catch opening day on the Welland Canal and the Soo Locks.  After that, I'm not sure where things will take me.

As always, if you have suggestions or advice, feel free to leave them in the comments section.  Unless your advice is about viagra or hot naked girls or whatever else the spammers have been trying to post on here.
