This isn't the first time this ship has appeared on this blog, but it is the first time that she's had a post dedicated to her.
This ship was a bonus because I wasn't following her on AIS, nor was I really expecting her. In fact, she was docked at the time I was passing by.
The Algosea was built in 1998 at the Alabama Shipyard in Mobile, AL. She was originally known as the Aggersborg.
In 2005, she was acquired by Algoma and renamed the Algosea.
A shot of her pilothouse.
She is 472 feet long and can carry a little over 17,000 tons of cargo.
She greats the Oberstar.
And starts to pass the Oberstar.
And one more shot before I paid more attention to the Oberstar.
