One of the things that got me out was the hopes of catching the next ship going down the Rouge River.
The Herbert C. Jackson was doing her normal run of Marquette to Dearborn with taconite. Since I caught the Lee Tregurtha going down the Rouge River, I have been hoping to do the same again. Today looked like that chance.
If it weren't for the fog, I would have gotten that chance. Instead, I got pictures of the Jackson as she waits at the Belle Isle Anchorage. I think the fog cleared enough for her to start moving, as she is now at the steel mill. Oh well, maybe next time.
