After not seeing them for a while or seeing them far off, I was happy to stop by the eagles today and see that they were fairly close to the road. I couldn't get a shot of the mother in the nest though, she was hunkered down too far.

I don't think I've ever noticed the leg band before. This means that the eagle is probably being tracked somehow.

I kept watching him and he looked a little antsy, like he was going to take off.
